Welcome
New Life Baptist Church - Independence is a place where people can engage in a life-giving community and know the God who heals and restores. We are focused on being a welcoming church and helping others discover Christ and grow in their faith. We do this through our celebration (worship) services, bible studies, and eventually, our New Life "D" Groups (small groups). Fill out the form below so we can prepare for your visit.
What to expect
When you show up on Sunday morning you will be met by a group of people who are experienced in meeting first-time visitors. Our sanctuary is to the right of the main entrance. Someone will be available to help show you around, help you find a seat, and introduce you to others.
Our Bible study is currently in our kitchen, which is straight ahead of the main entrance. We may also meet in our multipurpose room (clothing closet area) when necessary, which is to the left of the main entrance.
We are currently working on our children's area to make it a comfortable and fun place for children. We welcome children and strive to give them a safe environment and a place they want to be.
Our celebration service (worship service) lasts approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. We sing several songs that include hymns, the older Maranatha choruses, and some contemporary worship songs. We no longer pass the offering plate. Instead, we have a donation box located in the back of our sanctuary. We also have online giving through our website and app. We encourage our members to give as the Lord leads them. Visitors may give if they wish, but we don't expect that. You are our guest. The message is around 30-40 minutes long and is the last thing before being dismissed. Feel free to stick around for a few minutes after the service.
One last thing, we will follow up with you via email, phone call, text, or personal visit. The goal is to get to know you better, learn from you what we did well and what we could improve, and find out how we can best serve you.

What To Expect
A typical service on Sunday morning will last about 75 minutes (10:45 to noon). When you arrive, someone will meet you at the door. If you signed our new visitor form on our website or app, then you will have someone dedicated to helping you feel welcomed and informed. We strive to make people feel welcomed, but not overwhelmed.
We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music. Every third Sunday we add communion to our service, which is open to anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The message given by the lead pastor is around 30-40 minutes and is the last part of the service.
Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and to meet new people. If you filled out our contact form, someone will follow up with you sometime during the week, either by email, text, phone call, or personal visit, or a combination of these three.
